Carnival Victory Cruise Review

Your Carnival Victory cruise complaint card will certainly remain blank. The feeling on the ship is extremely laid-back, outstanding service always there for you but never in the way, and the cleanness of the entire vessel without the pungent antiseptic odor. It was launched back in 2000 and refurbished in 2007, and still carries a comfortable worn-in feel. The overall daily operation the ship and its crew strike as effortless on all Carnival Victory cruises. Add the gentle rocking of the ship, and it's not hard to fall into a sleepy rhythm.

Being like that, Carnival Victory gives you an excellent intro to Carnival Cruise Lines if you're a newbie -- and a welcoming get away for the line's devotees.

The ship has all the usual Carnival accessories that come with all members of Destiny Class vessels. It features a nice diversity of dining options (from the Pacific dining room to the two-deck Lido buffet), a well lit, centrally placed casino, a full Camp Carnival program for children, a great spa, a daily schedule of fun activities, and plenty of places to drink and socialize.

After the refit in 2007, it also features a poolside movie screen -- Carnival's Seaside Theater. Other options found on later ships; like a sushi bar and a supper club, are not to be found.

However, the most appealing thing on our recent Caribbean Carnival Victory cruise was the lack of imperious guise. The great thing is no one tries too hard to please -- the waiters, the blackjack dealers, and the genial bartenders. The majority of almost 2800 passengers are rather satisfied with this. The ship's relaxed atmosphere puts no pressure to be anything that it is not, and the guests feed on this, enjoying a calm feel of welcome.

If you are a Carnival first-timer, it is important to mention that while Carnival has, in the past, been stereotyped as the slack-jawed, party line (possibly owing the rep to the line's "Fun Ship" designation), actually it provides a much more impressive variety of options than it is given credit for.

But in the end, you experience a week of detached leisure at a really great price. It certainly feels like an amazing dream, which stays in your head and constantly gives you a much more than a general impression of well being. Now go, and book your own Carnival Victory cruise today!
